As a lifestyle photographer I focus on documenting your story by freezing the moments in time and making them last forever. During our sessions we dance, play games, laugh, and love in the most special ways! You won't be stressing about what to wear or forcing your kids into cheesy smiles. I stay away from stiff, forced poses and capture the natural connection that is unique to your family. My goal is to make your session enjoyable and memorable as I capture your whole true selves! I am located in Guntersville, Alabama and travel within an hour often to the Huntsville, and Gadsden and other North Alabama areas.
Hey, I'm Dakota.
There are many things I'm passionate about including my faith in Jesus, our freedom as a country, natural health and...the reason you're here...photography. I've had many different hobbies throughout the years that have allowed me to use my creative side, but photography is one that has always just stuck.
Growing up in a large family myself as the oldest of 10 and having 5 young ones of my own, has given me the patience and love for families. In the midst of what may feel like chaos to you, as the kids run and jump all around, I am able to document love in the most unique ways, as those are the moments I feel the most at home.
I am here to help with your every photography need from beginning to end and beyond! From wardrobe to printing your beautifully gallery and all the questions in between, I am with you every step of the way. I have invested my time, money and soul into making this client experience memorable, and stress free every step of the way!

The Process
Booking our Session
Once we chat about a date, I will send you my booking calendar that will take you through the booking process. You will select the previously discussed date, pay a $75 retainer to hold your spot, and sign the contract!
Before our Session
You'll be sent multiple guides, similar to this one, that will help you prepare for our session together. I will help you select the location and dress you for the session with links to shop from and access to my client closet.
During our Session
We will start by getting the "Grandma picture," with everyone looking and smiling, then the fun begins! We play games, dance, laugh, love and cuddle. I let your natural connection take over! At the end kiddos get to pick from my treasure box while mom & dad get some photos together.
After our Session
You will receive a sneak peak within 48 hours. The full high resolution digital album will be available within 3 weeks. Share your photos with friends and family and hang them on your walls to enjoy forever!
